Forensic Genealogy: Heir & Title Search, Adoption Search, Family History, Provenance Search

Boston native Liesa Healy-Miller has been solving mysteries for nearly thirty years. She began her career as a print, radio, and television reporter, specializing in investigative work.

Today, she applies her knowledge of the courts and public policy to the field of forensic genealogy: conducting heir/title search, adoption search (modern and historical), and exploring criminal cold cases and historical mysteries.

In addition to attending local seminars and conferences, Liesa has completed the following specialized courses:

  • Boston University Genealogical Studies Program (2010)  Boston, MA
  • Boston University Advanced Forensic Genealogy Course (2012)  Boston, MA
  • IGHR/Samford (Irish Studies, 2011; Intermediate Genealogy, 2012)  Homewood, AL
  • National Institute on Genealogical Research (2012) Washington, D.C.

When time allows, she lends her time to the Volunteer Search Network, assisting adoptees in their search for birthparents.

For the past 13 years, she has served as an academy-trained auxiliary police officer in two MA. towns. She is also a two-time recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
